Types of Goldendoodles

Goldendoodle Generations

The Bruce Farm specializes is breeding F1 and F1b goldendoodles.

F1 are first generation goldendoodles – meaning the puppy is from the breeding of a pure retriever and a pure poodle, making the puppy 50% poodle and 50% retriever. The F1 results in an intelligent, loving puppy with hypoallergenic qualities. This puppy will likely result in some shedding and have a shaggy or wavy coat. Regular grooming will help keep their coat tangle free and prevent matting.

F1B are the result of an F1 goldendoodle bred with a pure poodle – 25% retriever and 75% poodle. The F1B puppy is best known for the very minimal to no shedding. They remain very much like an F1 as far as loving and intelligent. This type of puppy has a coat that varies greatly in texture and color.
